This policy explains how Reel Editor Pro ("we," "us") handles information when you use Reel Editor Pro ("the app") on iPhone and iPad. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Reel Editor Pro is built to work with your photos and videos entirely on your device wherever possible. We collect a limited set of data to keep the app running smoothly and to improve it over time:
- Usage data - which tools you interact with, such as voiceover generation, filters, or effects, so we can understand what's working.
- Diagnostics - crash reports and performance data used to fix bugs and improve stability.
We do not collect the content of the clips or photos you edit unless you explicitly choose to send them through an in-app AI feature, such as AI voiceover generation.
AI voiceovers & cloud features
Most editing in Reel Editor Pro - trimming, filters, effects, and animation - happens entirely on your device. If you use a cloud-based feature such as AI voiceover generation, the script or audio you submit is sent securely for processing and is not retained afterward or used to train models without your separate consent.
Tracking
Usage data and diagnostics may be used to track app performance and, where applicable, advertising effectiveness across apps and websites operated by other companies. You can opt out of tracking at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
How we use your information
We use the data described above to operate and maintain the app, diagnose and fix technical issues, understand feature usage so we can prioritize improvements, and, in the free version, serve relevant advertising.
Data sharing
We share limited usage and diagnostic data with analytics and infrastructure partners who help us operate the app. We do not sell your personal content, clips, or photos to third parties.
Your choices
You can disable tracking and review what data is shared through your device's privacy settings. You can also delete the app at any time, which removes locally stored projects and drafts from your device.
Children's privacy
Reel Editor Pro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect more personal information from them than is required for the app's basic functionality.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
